Our second large workday was held on Saturday May 7th. Again, it was a huge sucess. Over 30 refugee families came out and many outside volunteers. I have never seen such a hard working group! For me workdays are very stressful because I have to spend days scrambling for supplies, getting soil and wood deliveries, finding tools, preparing lots. However, once they day began it was one of the happiest days I can remember. We had perfect weather and got a lot done!
Everyone laughed and chatted as we shoveled together, a small group or burmese men mastered using a power drill and built 15 more beds, berry bushes were planted, part of the fence was put up, and much more!
